Why hideouts matter

Food survival depends on breaking Chef line of sight long enough to reset a chase. CRAZY CHEFS scatters hideouts throughout the kitchen — behind obstacles, in corners, and near map edges where camera angles favor hiding players.

Hideouts are temporary relief, not permanent safety. Patient Chefs sweep common spots systematically. Use hideouts to plan your next sprint, not to AFK indefinitely.

Best hideout types

Corners behind cooking stations block vision until Chefs walk around the equipment — buy precious seconds to choose exit direction. Areas behind central tables allow quick direction changes if the Chef approaches from an unexpected angle. Far ends of side corridors work when the Chef entered from the opposite side and must traverse the full hallway to reach you.

Memorize at least three hideouts reachable from anywhere in the kitchen. Five is ideal for advanced play — one per major zone plus a central fallback.

Hideouts and movement

Alternate hiding and running. Stay hidden briefly, then sprint to the next hideout via a different path than you entered. Never exit the same way you came — Chefs often predict that pattern and wait at the entrance.

Combine ground hideouts with Flying Rainbow Carpet flight paths if you own the gamepass. Air-to-hideout transitions confuse Chefs who only watch ground routes.
