CRAZY CHEFS Chef Controls
All Chef actions in CRAZY CHEFS: knife, Food capture, cooking stations, and order management.
Chef role and objectives
As Chef, your mission is to catch Food players, bring them to cooking stations, and complete orders to earn Cash. You wield a knife for captures at close range and interact with kitchen equipment to prepare dishes. Chefs move slower than Food but control the economic loop — Cash flows from completed orders, not from survival time.
Chefs compensate for speed disadvantage through map control. Cooking stations along walls create natural trapping zones. A Chef who understands chokepoints forces Food into fights they cannot win on raw sprint alone. Study the Kitchen Layout and Cooking Stations pages before grinding public servers.
You can switch to Food at any time, but dedicated Chef players invest in gamepasses like the Chopping Knife and Manager to maximize order throughput. Chef controls are identical across PC and mobile — only input method changes.
Core Chef actions
Equip the knife via inventory or hotkey, approach Food within capture range, and activate the capture action. After a successful catch, escort or transport the Food to the correct cooking station and interact to begin preparation. Monitor the active order list to prioritize dishes that match your current position and captured ingredients.
Efficient Chefs alternate between hunting and cooking without idle time. Capture near the station you need rather than dragging Food across the entire kitchen. The Complete Orders guide explains routing logic that pairs captures with station proximity.
Station interaction uses the same key or button as general interact. Different stations handle different recipe steps — knowing which station matches each order type saves seconds that compound across a full session.
Useful gamepasses for Chefs
The Chopping Knife (449 Robux) extends capture range — the biggest single upgrade for Chef players, especially on mobile. The Manager (249 Robux) streamlines order management when juggling multiple active requests. The Frying Pan (199 Robux) speeds cooking interactions at stations.
Compare all gamepasses on our Tier List before spending Robux. Chef mains typically prioritize Chopping Knife first, then Manager or Frying Pan depending on whether they struggle more with captures or kitchen throughput.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I equip the knife as Chef?
Open inventory or use the weapon hotkey in the game interface. The knife must be active to capture Food.
What is the knife capture range?
Base range is short — you must be very close. The Chopping Knife gamepass significantly extends capture distance.
Can captured Food escape?
Once captured and en route to a station, Food is immobilized. Finish the order before chasing another target.
How many Chefs per server?
Servers hold up to 8 players. Chef/Food balance varies because team switching is unrestricted.
How do I trap Food effectively?
Push them toward a wall or station corner with limited exits. Position your camera to block lateral escape before equipping the knife.
