CRAZY CHEFS Food Controls
Movement actions and survival strategies for the Food role in CRAZY CHEFS — speed, dodging, and hideouts.
Food role and advantages
As Food, you play an ingredient or dish fleeing Chef capture. Your goal is survival — stay alive as long as possible while Chefs hunt with knives. Food runs faster than Chefs, which is your primary advantage. You have no weapon and no offensive actions; every control input serves movement, camera awareness, or jump timing.
Food gameplay rewards map knowledge and unpredictability. Players who memorize hideouts, chokepoints, and open escape routes survive far longer than players who rely on speed alone. Running into a dead-end corridor negates your speed advantage instantly.
The Flying Rainbow Carpet gamepass (399 Robux) adds vertical movement for Food, breaking ground-level chase dynamics. It is the most impactful Food upgrade according to our Tier List, though skilled free players still survive effectively without it.
Movement techniques
Never stand still — stationary Food gets captured quickly. Change direction every two to three seconds, jump over obstacles, and zigzag in narrow corridors where Chefs struggle to match your turn radius. Diagonal joystick or keyboard inputs create sharper cuts than pure forward movement.
When a Chef equips their knife, that is your alert signal. Sprint immediately toward the nearest hideout or open area with multiple exits. Do not stare backward for more than a split second — use quick camera checks instead of full turns that slow momentum.
Study hideout locations on our map page. Aim to memorize at least five spots spread across different kitchen zones so you always have a fallback regardless of where the chase starts.
Gamepasses for Food players
The Flying Rainbow Carpet lets Food fly above the kitchen floor, escaping ground-level knife range. Alternate flying with running to stay unpredictable — permanent flight patterns become easy for patient Chefs to read and camp.
Other gamepasses target Chefs primarily. Food players should invest in the Carpet before considering any Chef-oriented pass unless they split time evenly between roles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Food players really faster than Chefs?
Yes. Food has superior movement speed. Exploit it by staying mobile and avoiding enclosed trap zones.
What should I do when a Chef chases me?
Run toward a hideout or wide corridor, zigzag, and use quick camera glances instead of long backward looks.
Can I hide indefinitely?
Hideouts offer temporary safety, but patient Chefs will find you. Alternate hiding and repositioning for maximum survival time.
Is the Flying Rainbow Carpet worth it for Food?
For regular Food players, yes — flight fundamentally changes chase dynamics and is our top Food gamepass recommendation.
Should Food players use cooking stations?
No. Food cannot interact with stations. Stay away from wall-aligned stations where Chefs have positional advantage.
