Controls overview

CRAZY CHEFS runs on PC, mobile, and tablet through the Roblox client. Controls change depending on your platform and your role — Chef or Food. Mastering both configurations matters because the game lets you switch teams at any time, even mid-round. A player who only knows Food movement will struggle when they swap to Chef, and vice versa.

Chefs use a knife to capture Food players, interact with cooking stations, and manage active orders. Food players move faster, dodge, and rely entirely on navigation and map knowledge — they have no offensive actions. Each role has specific buttons and timing windows you need to internalize before competing on public servers.

Camera control is equally important on every platform. Chefs must watch blind spots near cooking stations where Food can slip past. Food players should glance backward regularly to spot a Chef equipping their knife. Poor camera habits lose more chases than slow reflexes.

Controls by platform and role

On PC, keyboard and mouse deliver the best precision for Chefs who need to corner Food in tight kitchen spaces. Mouse camera control lets you track zigzag movement and predict escape routes. On mobile, the virtual joystick and action buttons require adaptation — especially for quick direction changes while playing Food, where speed is your main advantage.

General control tips

Regardless of platform, adjust Roblox control settings before your first serious session. On PC, verify your keybinds for interact and jump. On mobile, resize the virtual joystick so your thumb reaches maximum sprint without stretching. Lower graphics settings on older phones to reduce input lag during chases — every millisecond counts when a Chef closes distance.

Controller support follows standard Roblox gamepad mappings on supported platforms. Movement uses the left stick, camera uses the right stick, and actions map to triggers and face buttons. Gamepad Chef play sits between PC and mobile in precision — viable but less common in competitive public lobbies.

Input consistency matters across long sessions. Fatigue degrades capture timing on Chef and dodge reactions on Food. Take brief breaks between intense chases, especially on mobile where thumb strain affects joystick precision after twenty minutes of continuous play. Revisit control settings if you notice declining performance — sometimes a small joystick resize restores comfort more than grinding additional hours.
